Seeing the wolf sanctuary

The Wolves Sanctuary

Once upon a time, a group of French students was supposed to go dogsledding. Unfortunately, the snow had melt... so they were compelled to change the activity.

Thus, this famous group, took the bus... Oh., too bad! Sam the Driver did not tell them that the journey to the Wolves centre would take...3 hours (without traffic).

Finally, they arrived to the place and were...really happy... =)

just like F****...

Fortunately, a nice dwarf of the forest (the guardian of the centre) told us that we were : LUCKY. Why? Because, an unexpected event was happening...

Fanny: Sorry???? (we also have santa claus on the picture or is it Marjolaine pretending she is Santa?? )

So, we walked in the forest...for a loooong time, in very dangerous conditions : a slippery and muddy ground !

We discovered that the  great surprise was a moose...eaten by a wolf

We spent 10 minutes seeing this wolf tasting this moose.

Then, we went back to the centre (it was still raining). Inside, we went in a shelter from which we could closer see the whole wolves pack.

Oops!! Wrong picture

Seeing all those real wolves was the best of this emotional day.

In order to watch a VERY interesting movie about Canadian wolves and Canadian forests, we were presented with the conditions to respect a forest and how to save trees by mixing all the economical and social aspects.

Finally, when we believed it was the end of this exhausting day, the little dwarf drove us deeply in the forest so as to practice what we saw in the movie before.

We needed to  locate which tree to cut or which to leave to let the forest healthy and everybody happy :

We spent the rest of the day discovering what a wolf can eat.

You can see at the back all the food that those animals need.

This is a frozen beaver.

At the end, it was our turn to eat in the bus and we were happy to see Orillia again but  in spite of our ironical tone, we liked the wolves quite well.

THE END
